I started this blog with intentions of posting work to it frequently, and that obviously did not go as planned. I've come to this realization about how I work today. I take every photo as if it's going to be displayed or judged. I also realized that this way of thinking is driving me crazy. I need to be producing work just for the sake of doing so. There doesn't have to be an end goal or product in sight. There just needs to be creating.

I'm going to try to post images here once a week. I work better when I have a goal in mind.

So in the vein of that I'm posting a few shots from when I was in Lynn for winter break.

The trip home was a disaster. The train I was supposed to take to Boston was 5 hours late due to weather and I didn't arrive at South Station until 2am. By that time the snow had hit Massachusetts and my mother braved the storm in her SUV to rescue me.

The next morning I woke up to everything covered in snow. We began the familiar routine: searching for matching gloves, looking for warm clothes to wear to help shovel us out. I was the only one excited for this ritual (except my father, who got to try out his new snow blower). When I go home, it's all about comfort. Heading out into the snow with my family to free ourselves from another New England snowstorm was just that. Go figure.

And now, the images:
